Hello, I’m Ronan Burke, a filmmaker, photographer and production professional based in London.

My work spans short film, photography, creative development and production, with a particular interest in visual storytelling, atmosphere and character. I’m drawn to distinctive cinematic worlds, analogue textures and the ways location, performance and practical filmmaking techniques can shape a story.

Alongside developing and directing my own projects, I work across production and post-production, with hands-on experience in studio operations, editing, photography and digital content at Lux Studio London. I also work in research and creative development at Castlecove Pictures, supporting projects through casting research, talent sourcing, project research and development.

Alongside this, my role as Head of Development at River Runs Round involves supporting the funding, planning and delivery of an artist-led festival celebrating Cork’s creative community.

These varied roles inform my approach to filmmaking and photography, combining creative ambition with a practical understanding of the processes, collaboration and organisation required to bring projects to life.

Whether developing narrative film, documenting artists and communities through photography, or exploring the preservation of archival images, I’m interested in the stories that images can tell and the creative processes behind them.
